    Thinking About Going Pro

    Monday, December 18, 2006, 11:30 AM [General]

    Hi folks!

This is my first blog here. I've been considering going pro and need some advice because I cannot find any information about anything about the pro bowler's lifestyle. I have a 180 average and I know a person needs a 210 for pro, but, since I have an old ball and do not participate in any leagues, I figure with those two things in place my average may reach that 210+ mark.

I am more concerned with the lifestyle of a pro bowler. I understand they travel across the country to participate in tournaments 6-9 months out of the year. This is a concern because I am a comitted husband and father and simply cannot be away from my family for that period of time unless I take them with me. (My wife homeschools our kids so school is not an issue.) Do other bowlers take their family?

I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks for reading and have a blessed day.
